Smart Apart Living Hotel Wien Hauptbahnhof is perfectly connected to Vienna’s public transit network.

Check out the different possibilities for how to get to our place:

By train

Take the train to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station).

From there it’s just two stops with the underground line U1 (toward Oberlaa) to Reumannplatz, which is only a few minutes away from our property!

Feel like walking? If so, exit the Hauptbahnhof and follow Favoritenstraße – a pedestrian zone dotted with a wide array of restaurants, bars and shops. Turn left into Quellengasse just before Reumannplatz – the third intersecting road is Waldgasse. Turn left again and you’ll see our entrance sign in red.

Should you decide to explore the new Sonnwendviertel Quarter, turn left into Gerhard-Bronner-Straße after exiting the Hauptbahnhof, turn into Karl-Popper-Straße first, then into Antonie-Alt-Gasse at the Helmut-Zilk Park, continuing until Gudrunstraße and turning into Waldgasse.

By plane

Destination airport: Flughafen Wien Schwechat (VIE) - Vienna International Airport

The S-Bahn or the City Airport Train (CAT) take you directly to the new Wien Hauptbahnhof station. From there, take the underground line U1 toward Oberlaa and get off after two stops at Reumannplatz. (See above.)

Our property is located at Waldgasse 19. Keep in mind that this is a short-term parking zone and vehicle holders are required to pay a parking fee.

The amenities at our apartments offer comfortable options, be it just for a weekend or for an extended stay. Even the small kitchens are fully equipped with a microwave, induction plate, spacious fridge, teakettle and coffee maker.

Welcoming ambience with comfy beds, fresh linens, fluffy towels in the bathroom and kitchen towels available for guests’ use. An additional cleaning and laundry service is available for longer occupancy (three or more nights).

If a longer stay is necessary because you have to handle a business project, undergo training in Vienna, have your flat renovated, need some personal time out or just want to escape the family stress over the holidays – whatever the reason, we can recommend our more spacious Deluxe apartments with two rooms or Deluxe with balcony.

We love the color green, and we love our environment. It’s a matter close to our heart to practice sustainability and energy efficiency whenever and wherever possible.

Among other things, all our apartments were fitted with environmentally friendly ceiling cooling/heating systems in 2021, which was recognized with a sustainability certification.

An air-heating pump and LEDs were also installed for efficient heating and lighting.

We made our garden an inviting oasis in green, including the rooftop of our garden house. You’ve never been so close to nature while also in the heart of Vienna.

Location and surroundings of our Aparthotel

The area surrounding the city’s new central train station, Wien Hauptbahnhof, has developed into a thriving district – and we are quite literally right in the center of it all. Waldgasse borders the Sonnwendviertel Quarter, located in the immediate vicinity of the Hauptbahnhof and equally close to cultural highlights and sights, such as the famous Belvedere Palace or the Schweizer Garten.

Our "hood", called Favoriten, is Vienna's most international district featuring Favoritenstraße, a long pedestrian zone lined with numerous shopping facilities and eateries. While set in a quiet area, Smart Apart Living Wien Hauptbahnhof is only a few walking minutes from this vibrant street.

Situated opposite the Smart Aparts is the Wald-Apotheke pharmacy with a wide range of products and an ATM at its entrance.

Conveniently located just around the corner, near the next underground station at Reumannplatz, you’ll find the Amalienbad, considered one of the most beautiful swimming pools in the city. Swim amidst the finest art deco interior design, and combine indoor pool, sauna, massage and beauty treatments for recreational challenge and pleasure.

All of the attractions and cultural gems to be found in Vienna’s historic center can be reached with the underground line U1. You can also hop on the tram line D (from Hlawkagasse / Helmut Zilk-Park) circling Vienna’s Ringstrasse Boulevard to discover the city’s most important sights all the way to Grinzing, then conclude the tour with a glass of wine in a typical wine tavern, a Heuriger.

How about taking the underground line U1 from Reumannplatz direction Oberlaa (last stop) to either treat yourself to a heavenly piece of high-class patisserie and confectionery artistry offered by the renowned Konditorei Oberlaa or delve into the thermal springs of the Therme Wien.
